Abby Dads – Father Involvement Program

Offers programs, activities and support for Abbotsford dads.
Abby Dads is actively involved in supporting dads moving toward healthier relationships with their families. Program offer relationship-based training programs for dads such as Anger Awareness and Men in Relationships, and does attachment parenting programming for both parents, including Nobody’s Perfect.

The Chai Time and Dad Chat father drop-in programs create opportunities for fathers looking for staff and peer support.

The program also works closely with the Family Center Best for Babies program in their pre and post-natal programs and offers individual support for clients that may need extra support. Much of our programming is also available in both English and Punjabi.

Programs include:
  • Anger awareness: A program to help fathers manage their anger in healthy ways.
  • Parenting groups, including Nobody's Perfect
  • Individual Support
  • Dad Chat- Wednesday evening drop-in group
  • "My daddy and me" drop-in (Saturday Dads and Kids breakfast): Provides a comfortable and safe atmosphere for fathers to interact positively with their kids.
  • Educational Upgrading

    Chai Time: Drop-in program for Punjabi Dads to chat about life, parenting, relationships, and whatever else comes to mind. Offered Tuesdays from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.

    Dad Chat: Weekly drop-in program to chat about life, sports, relationships, parenting, and whatever else comes to mind. Meet some other Abbotsford dads striving to build strong families! Open to any dad in Abbotsford. Offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
